Evening all! I finally paid for all my postage and my grand total for extra money making is…£158.88. I feel completely stuck in a rut with no idea what to do next. I have everything photographed and a description written for whenever eBay have a free listing day/weekend, I’ve made a massive TSUK post…so what now? Everything else is listed somewhere – which reminds me, I’ve sold 3 DVDs across Play.com and Amazon today, and one book, so get listing – so it leaves me with little to do.
The good news is that I didn’t have to spend anything today and I even resisted the urge to buy some very pretty clothes for Florida. They were so pretty. The amount of money that going to Florida is going to cost totally scares me. I reckon £1,500 just for flights, accomodation and a car, never mind the extra £300-400 for the theme parks. I’ve never been on a holiday abroad though and I’m saving really hard, I cannot wait. I just hope I can save enough!
So I teased you all with the mention of a chicken yesterday. I’m always reading about stretching a chicken over a number of meals, so I decided to give this a try. I cooked the chicken for a roast dinner, then took what meat I could off for risotto and turned the rest into soup. There’s enough soup for maybe 6 meals and it tastes amazing. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t believe that soup is a meal, but I’m trying to get over that, and at least accept it as lunch. I’m so impressed with my thriftiness – I wonder how long it will last.
I weighed myself today (midday, so I’m going to try again for a more accurate figure) but I’m so annoyed at myself for what I’ve consumed over Christmas. I spent loads of money on the gym (£30 per month) and Slimming World books (£30) and buying special Slimming World foods like cereal bars when I don’t even like cereal bars. I’ve enjoyed my last take away for awhile tonight, and tomorrow starts the new diet and fitness regime. I’m going to try and exercise everyday and go to the gym once a week so I can use the fitness equipment but not have to fork too much out of my remaining £86.96. I’ve located all my exercise DVDs and anything exercise related I have for the Wii which gives me a selection of 7 different things to do, perfect. At the moment my plan is to have 3 square meals a day and just snacking on fruit. After a few weeks I might start following Slimming World again, we’ll see.
I’m working half a day tomorrow, then back to full time and not getting home until 7pm, so I’ve no idea how I’m going to cope. I assume by sleeping a lot for the first few days.
