Living Social are offering an online accounting and book keeping course that never expires, for just £9. That is a great deal in itself, but once you have enrolled for the online course, you will be eligible to claim an NUS student discount card for a cost of £12. This card has many benefits, including money off Amazon!
NUS card benefits
There are so many benefits to having the NUS card, some of my favourite include:
- 5% off Amazon
- 10% off at Warehouse
- 10% off at ASOS
- 10% off at The Co-op (in store)
- 40% off Pizza Express
- 20% off at Ed’s Easy Diner
- 10% off New Look
And so many more to choose from!
The 5% Amazon discount applies to the following categories:
- Books (excluding Kindle books)
- CDs
- DVDs
- Office Products
- Jewellery & Watches
- Grocery
- Personal Care Appliances
- Health & Beauty
- Shoes
- Sports
- Tools
- Lawn & Garden
- Automotive
- Kitchen & Home
- Pet Supplies
In order to take advantage of the NUS Extra Student Discount, you must collect your own personal 5% discount code from the NUS extra Amazon page. Once you have made a purchase on Amazon using a discount code, that discount will apply to all eligible purchases. You will not need to add it again. Discount codes expire on 31 August 2015.
Please note: When using the discount for the first time, all items in the basket must be eligible to receive the discount. Once this first transaction has been completed, all further transactions can also include non-eligible items and the discount will be applied accordingly, but only one code can be applied per transaction – please keep clothing purchases separate to benefit fully from both discount codes.
How to get your NUS card
Claiming your NUS card is easy:
- Purchase the course for £9 on Living Social.
- You will be emailed a voucher to redeem. Redeem this at e-careers. It may take up to 3 days for your course to appear.
- Once registered, register for your NUS card and pay the £12 fee.
Be quick as this Living Social deal is only valid for another few days. Thanks to Seb for sharing this deal with me!

Katie says
Is the card valid for a year? So in a year I pay another £12 to renew or is it a one off payment and the card has no expiry date?
Sorry if that’s a dumb question!
Emma says
Sorry for the late reply – the card lasts for a year
