Partylite Halloween review and giveaway

As the autumn nights draw in, I love nothing more than lighting a few candles when I get home from work and curling up under a duvet – even if it is just to do more work online! There’s something so homely about candles and I have them in every room in our house, even the kitchen and bathroom!

Partylite have sent me a little preview of this year’s Halloween collection, inspired by Mexico’s Day of The Dead, to ask for my opinion and give my readers the chance to win their own selection in time for Halloween.

12 tea lights in Hocus Pocus

These tea lights are brightly coloured, with a bright yellow colour and a bright purple colour. Hocus Pocus doesn’t smell how it looks – there are hints of coconut and citrus but it isn’t overly sweet. These tea lights burn for 4-5 hours.

6 votive candles in Autumn Glow

Hands down these are my absolute favourite. The smell definitely reminds me of Autumn time, especially if you have ever been in America around Thanksgiving! They smell like every store you go into around that time. Scented with sweet appears, pears, cinnamon, spice and pine, these are great for Autumnal nights. They burn for 8 – 11 hours.

Glolite scented jar candle in Hocus Pocus

A large jar with the lovely Hocus Pocus scent. The jar is decorated with purple skeletons and has two wicks. It burns for between 50 – 60 hours.

Colour changing candle base

This base is so much fun! The Glolite jar candle fits perfectly on the base as it changes colour, adding more fun to your candle. Requires 3 AAA batteries.

Skeleton glass candle jars

Gorgeous and strong jars to hold your votives or tea lights in, these are a great Halloween decoration.

  1. The best in Halloween is that we celebrate life and death without sorrow and tears, but with laughter and fun – like it should be… Plus, we can have a good time with our friends / kids / whoever close is to our heart, just the way it should be :)

  3. Fab, I’m loving the skull ones, my friend would use these all year round as she loves Skulls lol…looking forward to this Halloween as we are doing a zombie dress up ghost hunt and I just love to get dressed up, gives us adults the chance of being a kid again lol

  17. The colours…orange, black, purple, green. Dressing up and getting away with it as the “norm” pumkins, cider toffee, toffee apples….love Halloween more than Christmas!

  29. I love making a costume (I’m 29, no kids lol) and watching horror films. Last year we went to a horror film festival in Nottingham which was amazing! Not enough pennies this year though.

We always celebrate Halloween,it’s my birthday so we always have fun.When I was young we would be dookin’ for apples and we’d have sticky cakes hanging form sticks that you had to eat with your hands tied behind your back.I’m now 55 and there’s so much more in terms of merchandise now and I love it.We have a family party and it’s just wonderful x

  78. I love getting dressed up and taking my son trick or treating. I’m lucky to have friends and family close by so we just go and knock on their doors ( it’s all pre planned ) but my son thinks it’s brilliant.

  94. My daughter dresses up for halloween and goes round our neighbourhood. The best bit is that I get to dress up too and go around with her. We are both so well disguised that I’m sure the neighbours don’t know it’s us (I hope they don’t!).

  104. We have a party every year, it starts off for everyone but then the kids head off to their babysitter and the adults get to party for a change, its the one night of the year we really let our hair down, we go all out, love halloween x
