This Father’s Day (21 June 2015) is going to be a different one for me, as I will have been married for just under a month. Whilst I haven’t been living with my Dad for the past few years, I am still very much a Daddy’s Girl! My Dad is my absolute world and I often find it difficult to find gifts to show just how much he means to me.
My Dad is the person who I’ve learned the most from – both practically and emotionally. He’s taught me to let go of grudges and how to change a spare tyre! He’s often pottering away in our garden to help us out, or installing a new light fitting. Basically he is amazing!
When looking for a suitable Father’s Day gift, Truprint came up trumps!
Canvas
The main part of the Father’s Day gift, I wanted a customised canvas for my Dad to display. I found a high quality photograph of Tony and me, then found a very appropriate Bible verse to add to the photo (Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. Titus2:4-5). Uploading the finished image to Truprint was straightforward, and after using the correct canvas size it was easy to add to my basket.
The canvas I chose measures 16 x 12″ and retails for £34.99. Having never ordered a custom canvas before, I cannot get over the quality of this canvas – it well printed, sturdy and looks like an expensive present. And the canvas also comes with hooks to hang it up!
Photo cards
I always struggle when picking Father’s Day cards – of course I think my Dad is the “world’s #1 Dad”, but it seems that card manufacturers don’t understand that adults can have a “world’s #1 Dad”.
Once I had selected an appropriate card, I was able to import my images from Facebook, meaning that it was easy to find a photo of my Dad and I without going through my computer. In the end I chose a photograph of my sister, my Dad and myself from my nephew’s wedding last year. You can choose to have any text in the card, but I chose a simple “Happy Father’s Day” so that I can hand write the rest. The photo card I chose retails for £2.49.
Notebook
I love a good notebook, and I was recently surprised to find that so does my Dad! I decided to choose a notebook with a picture of my Mum on the front, as I’ve noticed my Dad doesn’t have many photographs of her around.
Once again, I was really surprised by the quality of the notebook. Firstly, there was no logo on the back of the notebook, which can look tacky. I chose lined pages and they’re a thick paper, not easily ripped. The notebook retails for £6.99
Key ring
And finally, I wanted to add a small gift that could be used on a daily basis – a photo key ring. I chose a photo of my Mum and me from when I was a toddler. This is really cute, and at £2.99, it makes a great little gift.
Other gifts
There are so many other photo gifts on the Truprint website – whether you want to buy a jigsaw, mug, desk calendar or something else, there will be something to fit in with you budget.
