The survey sites

Total spent: £24.29 – £75.71 remaining
Total made: £196.27*/£500 *still need to deduct postage and a handful of eBay auctions ending tonight
Weight loss: 4lbs

Check out the weight loss! I cheated and weighed myself today instead of tomorrow because I had some midnight munchies last night and ended up devouring some cheese biscuits with inches of butter, a slice of cake and some pretzels. I had no idea if my willpower would be shot for today so I decided to take today’s weigh in and run. As it turns out I haven’t been too bad today – another slice of cake, my last remaining glass bottle of (full fat) Coke and when I cooked the roast chicken the skin was so crispy and nice that I couldn’t resist. All in all I’m quite pleased with a 4lb loss.
I am going crazy! I have spent so much of this weekend listing eBay items (current total: 100 and no more) and constantly doing NVQ work as I’m being assessed every 1-2 weeks and need to get a move on. I’ve got 10 more fiddly things left to do – some are simple like adding page numbers, others are writing reflective accounts. They all need to be done by Thursday and I cannot do any more, struggling so much right now. Woe is me.
So today is all about surveys. Surveys are boring. Surveys won’t make you rich, but let’s talk about them anyway. Survey sites pay out in two ones – money or vouchers. If you don’t already have one, you may want to get a Paypal account.
General survey tips:
  • Sign up with an e-mail address exclusively for surveys. That way your inbox won’t be flooded with surveys and if you go through a phase I like to call “OMG WILL YOU SURVEYS GO AWAY NOW” then simple – just don’t check that e-mail address. You should all know where to go for e-mail addresses by now (Hotmail, Gmail).
  • Sign up for them all. Yes it is tedious. Cashing out takes ages so you may as well sign up for lots of sites.
  • Cash out as soon as you’ve reached the minimum cash out amount – you can still save the money or vouchers to use later.
There are tons of survey sites out there, but below is a list of my favourite ones, in order of preference. There are loads more websites out there, but these are the ones I currently use.
Lightspeed/My Survey needs e-mail invitation from a member (leave your e-mail in the comments if you’d like me to send you one)
Pinecone (you need to Google for a sign up link)
Shop & Scan (you scan your weekly food shop and get points to turn into vouchers)
Neilson home scan (Google for a sign up link)
I can send e-mail referrals for most of these if you would like me to – just let me know in the comments.

That’s it for today, more NVQ stuff is waiting.
