Ahhhhhh, I’ve been racking my brains for days about what to do in February, and I’m still stuck for a challenge. I’m going to be extremely unimaginative and stick with one from January – make £10 a day (so £280 in February) and I’m ashamed to say that I’m still trying to decide what my budget should be this month. £100 seems far too strict when my birthday falls in February, but I’m booking Florida next week so would love every spare penny to go towards the holiday and spending money. Decisions decisions.
I’ve stolen an idea from MSE Forums where people have posted things they want to achieve in February, which I thought was a great idea! A bit like new year’s resolutions, but just for February, so they can even contain smaller tasks. Mine are:
- Make £280 extra this month – hopefully by selling lots of things and continuing to de-clutter.
- BOOK FLORIDA!
- Lose some weight. More about this later!
- Go to all 4 Zumba classes this month.
- Cancel my overdraft – paid it off last night, first time I’ve seen a positive number since I started university…which I graduated from 3 years ago. Don’t do it kids!
- Maintain my car properly – I travel around 60 miles per day and I never check my tyre pressure, oil, water, etc. I also eat lunch in my car everyday, so keeping it clean inside will be a challenge.
- Do 4 units worth of questions for my NVQ
- Go on 3 training courses
- Get more of my shed/office sorted
The ten week challenge is going well – 9 weeks remaining. I got on the scales yesterday because I was worried that the diet wasn’t working or something, and I’d lost 7lbs! It was a cheeky look so I’m not counting it just yet, but that really motivates me. I left work late last night and my first thought was that I wouldn’t do my exercise so I’d have enough time for everything else – I soon corrected that my remembering my 7lb loss and telling myself that I’m the most important thing in my life right now and there is no other day I could exercise on 31st Jan 2011. The crazy self motivating talk worked because I got 30 mins done, and woke up early this morning to make a start on today’s workout. I also played a bit of basketball and football with kids at work earlier, making me in so much pain right now.
What do you want to achieve in February, no matter how big or small?

I’d like to get all wedding stuff done by then end of the month! So then I can spend March not thinking about it too much, enjoying my hen stuff, and planning honeymoon itinary and making a bit of extra money!
