Day 9

Day 9 is here, another Sunday Sort Out. Today’s focus in on your games and DVDs – sort through your collection and put aside any that you want to sell.

  1. List games and DVDs on Amazon Marketplace. Read my tutorial for listing on Amazon Marketplace here.
  2. List games and DVDs on Playtrade which is Play.com’s version of Amazon’s marketplace.
  3. Keep aside everything you felt wasn’t worth listing – see below.

Some games and DVDs might not be worth listing. Start by listing each item and seeing the total amount that each site will give you after their fees. Postage could be anything from 69p upwards, be sure to use the Royal Mail price finder to decide whether you will be in profit after your item sells.

Amazon and Play will email you when your item sells – when it does, you have 2 working days to dispatch your item. You can just reuse any jiffy bags you have received items in, or if you need to purchase packaging supplies, I can recommend pound store or this eBay listing for 20 mixed size jiffy bags for just £5.59 delivered. We will be coming back to whatever doesn’t sell after a few weeks.

How to price your items:

On Amazon Marketplace and Playtrade, you can decide to price your items as the cheapest on the marketplace (which may be beaten just moments after you list), or set a reasonable price depending on the condition of your item. There is no right or wrong price – as long as you’re making money after postage and fees it is up to you to set your prices.

Teacher’s Pet – there are no tasks today.
