Last week glo challenge Kirsty and me to take over each other’s blogs. Kirsty wrote a post about some fantastic supermarket offers, and I wrote a recipe to go on Hijacked By Twins.
I will be the first to admit that I was completely out of my comfort zone in writing a recipe post. I love cooking, and I’ll sometimes post my creations to Instagram, but actually writing a recipe post and remembering to photograph it whilst I’m cooking proved harder than I thought. In fact, I kept forgetting, leading me to having to wake up at 6 one morning to get it cooked and photographed before the deadline. Both From Aldi To Harrods and Hijacked By Twins are our brands, so I wanted to make sure that my post was up to scratch and fit in well with other posts on Hijacked By Twins.
By the same token, I felt very cautious about hosting someone else’s content on From Aldi To Harrods. Like Kirsty, I have spent a long time building up my audience in this niche and I didn’t want to deter them with something that might be substandard.
As it turned out, Kirsty came up with a brilliant post!
Putting your trust into someone else is a surprisingly difficult thing to do – which is exactly what glo wanted us to discover for ourselves. Glo offer guarantor loans for people who are struggling to get credit elsewhere. Your guarantor is someone who agrees to be financially responsible for money you borrow from glo – they are placing their trust in you to manage payments, or else they will have to take over the repayments.
Not only does your guarantor have to put trust in you, but you are also responsible to them – the same feeling I had when writing for Hijacked By Twins. There is pressure to ensure that you work hard not to let your guarantor down.
I loved taking part in the blogger takeover – thanks to both glo and Kirsty for this.
